1 new parkinson's pesticide

Reseach on rats at the National Parkinson Foundation, suggests for the first time that there many be a link between longterm exposure to pesticides and Parkinson's disease. One person in a hundred over 65 suffers fm Parkinson's.
At the same time a new blood test has been developed at the Prince of Wales Medical Reseach Institute in Sney wich should be able to determine if someone is going to develop Parkinson's disease years before the symptoms appear. Dopamine-producing neurons starts to degenerate up to twenty years before a person experiences the symptoms of Parkinson's.

3 words I have learnt: disease= malaltia, suffers= sofrir, developed= desarrollat.

Description of a place 2

I'm describing the location of the palace gardens in Berlin. I have chosen this place because it brings me good memories and I think it's very nice.

The palace is one of the neighborhoods of downtown Berlin.
The garden of the palace's great! first there is a main garden where there are many flowers that make drawings on the floor and several sources placed in a sort of roundabout way. To walk through the garden there are three ways: in the middle on the left and on the right. A major part of the garden makes a desnibel and that is why there are ramps and stairs.
The gardens as seen in the photo are beautiful, full of grass and flowers that show a bright green color. There are all kinds of flowers such as the passion flower that I love!
A part of the main gardens which are well decorated, on the sides are forests and mazes. The forest is very large but very well kept. When you are in it you feel very well, you are surrounded by vegetation, and do not see anybody you feel like the queen of everything around you.
The maze is smaller than the forest but scared of missing like in the movies! Within the labyrinth there are squares, fountains and the trees don’t show anything a part of the road.
Throughout the tour of the gardens people can go by bike or walking.
This is my description of a place I hope you like it and that some day you will go to the gardens of which I have spoken, because is a very nice place.

In English class I saw a part of the film Moulin Rouge and this is a summary of this part.

A young British writer, Christian moves to Paris. he encounters a musical troupe that is attempting to present a new play for the owner of the cabaret, the Moulin Rouge. Christian's writing helps to finalize the show and the troupe take Christian to the cabaret to present the work itself to its star courtesan, Satine in private to win her favour. However, the same night, Zidler has arranged for Satine to spend the night with the wealthy Duke who is looking to buy the cabaret. Through for bad communication, Satine mistakes Christian for the Duke, and the two depart to her private chambers. She begins to seduce him despite his insistence he is only there to present his script, but the two slowly realize they have fallen in love with each other. The Duke returns, and discovers Christian and Satine in a compromising position. Satine quickly states that Christian is only there to present a play. With the help of the troupe, Satine, and Zidler, Christian quickly improvises a new plot to "Spectacular! Spectacular!" as a thinly-covered veil of their current situation, with an evil maharajah attempting to woo the love of an Indian courtesan who is actually in love with a poor sitar player. The Duke, unable to see through the show's meaning, agrees to finance the show, but only if he is allowed to continue to see Satine. Unfortunately for the Duke, Satine and Christian continuously make up excuses as to why he can't see her.

New: Mexico too violent to visit?

Mexico's tourism director on Wednesday downplayed the risk of violence facing tourists, despite warnings for travelers to think twice about visiting the country. In recent days, the United States, Canada, France, Italy and Germany have issued alerts about travel to Mexico, where drug violence was blamed for more than 5,400 killings last year. The warnings appear to have had little effect. Mexican authorities report that more than 1,800 people have been killed in Ciudad Juarez since January 2008. Additionally, this city of 1.6 million people experienced more than 17,000 car thefts and 1,650 carjackings in 2008.

Since it was abbounced that the Chinese invented the flush toiled thousands of years ago, Asians have been flushed with pride.
However, the British can still boast another first: the double toilet cublicle. A club in Manchester is the first in the world to install double cublicle in it's toilets wich will alow female club-foers to chat while relieve themselves!
In my opinion is very digusting!!! For me this idea is bad.

Extra discussion essay

everybody thinks that being famous is cool but famous people don't think the same. There are positive and negative sides to this.

On the one hand , to be famous is good because they're making a lot of money, they're travelling, they have a big house with servants... to be famous can open some doors in some places or at work. Well, in general form are outside it is a very good options to be famous. On the other hand, if you are famous is very different because, yes you have a big house, a yatch etc. but the entire world knows your private life and the sensational journalist are pursuing you continually. You have to be as they like because if you do not do that they make you feel very bad with the press.
For example Angelina Jolie in 2000 she was a dark girl and the press criticized her a lot, but at the moment Angelina Jolie is another person because she has six sons and his husband is Brad Pitt. I think that is the same person but for all persons she now better.

In my opinion to be famous is not a good way. I like to be free and if I'm famous I won't be free. I prefer to be myself rather that to be rich but embittered.

discussion essay

At the present in Spain the education is every time worst and there is not any discipline in schools today. Specially the tenagers are reductionaris and they don't respect the teachers.

I think that there are advantatges and disatvantatges because on the one hand students are not afraid of schools and are more trustful with teacher, I think that the help the atmosphere of study. On the other hand, students are more impolite and the teacher don't have autority. The teachers can't do his/her work because students do whenever they want.

Personally, I believe that this situation is bad for the country because in the future this students will be the police, the judge, the teacher... and if they don't have a good education it will be horrible!!

Frankenstein: Book vs film:

In this composition, I’ll explain the differences between the Frankenstein’s book and movie. The differences are:
In the film Victor’s mother dies when giving birth to William and in the book dies because of her illness.
The relation of Victor and Henry is different in the book and in the film because. In the film they’ve been friends at the university and in the book they have been friends since they were children.
Apart from that, in the book Victor has two brothers Ernest and William. However, in the film Victor has one brother, William.
We also observed that in the film Victor’s mother gives a diary to Victor but not in the book. Furthermore, in the film there is an epidemic smallpox.
In the book, the laboratory of Victor Frankenstein is far from the island and in the film it is next to the university, in the city.
In the film, when Victor is doing the experiment he receives the visit of Elisabeth.
In both stories, Justine was being accused of William’s murder. In the book she first passes a trial and dies in prison, although in the film she is being hung.
In the book victor make a wife for the creature but he destroyed it because it is horrible. However, regarding the way or duing, In the film, the monster kills Elisabeth pulling out her heart, but in the book, he strangles her. After the dead of Elisabeth Victor gives her life again, but when Elisabeth looks in the mirror she suicide by burning themselves.
Finally, in the film the monster died with his creator and in the book the monster leaves and we don’t know if he died or not.
